Veneers are a thin,
translucent coating, made
out of porcelain or resin.
Porcelain is a fantastic way
to repair or enhance the
appearance of front teeth.
They can be used to whiten
teeth, close spaces and
create a great smile. Using
veneers, we can even perform
virtually "instant
orthodontics" to straighten
crooked teeth and give you
the bright smile you always
wanted.
A
crown is a hand fabricated
cover that protects the top
of a tooth. It may be used
to restore and preserve a
decayed, broken, or cracked
tooth. Crowns can also
correct some cosmetic tooth
problems, giving you a
better smile. We can replace
large, worn-out fillings
with natural-looking,
ceramic crowns. These
state-of-the-art, high
strength, metal-free crowns
will restore dark teeth and
eliminate lines at the gum
line to provide a completely
natural-looking appearance.
We use highly specialized
labs and warranty our work.
A
bridge is a way to replace
one or more missing teeth.
Replacing missing teeth
makes it easier to chew. It
improves your appearance. It
also helps keep your teeth,
gums, and jaws healthy.
Bridges may be made of
porcelain or gold, with
crowns or
caps, and cannot be
removed.
Composite bonding can
work wonders for your smile.
Using materials that match
the shade and the texture of
your teeth, gaps between
teeth can be closed, spots
and discolorations can be
eliminated, and your smile
can be improved to boost
your self-confidence.
Composite bonding is
excellent for small defects
in the teeth such as spots,
chips, or gaps between
teeth. For smile alterations
involving an entire tooth or
multiple teeth, porcelain is
the material of choice.
Pedodontics
Children with healthy mouths
chew more easily and gain
more nutrients from the
foods they eat. They learn
to speak more quickly and
clearly. Finally, preventive
dentistry means less
extensive, and less
expensive, treatment for
your child and it begins
with the first tooth.
Tooth
decay is the most prevalent
oral disease among children.
A child's first visit to the
dentist should be as early
as two and a half years old.
Tooth cleaning and polishing
and fluoride treatments are
all part of your child's
first visit.
The
American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry
recommends a dental check-up
at least twice a year for
most children. Some children
need more frequent dental
visits because of increased
risk of tooth decay, unusual
growth patterns or poor oral
hygiene.
Regular dental visits help
your child stay cavity-free.
Teeth cleanings remove
debris that build up on the
teeth, irritate the gums and
cause decay. Fluoride
treatments renew the
fluoride content in the
enamel, strengthening teeth
and preventing cavities.
Hygiene instructions improve
your child's brushing and
flossing, leading to cleaner
teeth and healthier gums.
Sealants protect the grooved
and pitted surfaces of the
teeth, especially the
chewing surfaces of back
teeth where most cavities in
children are found. The
application of a sealant is
quick and comfortable. It
takes only one visit.
Restorations
We
use tooth colored cosmetic
resin on your back teeth to
maintain the natural
appearance of your teeth.
This material produces a
long lasting, natural
looking filling that is hard
to detect. If a cavity is
too large for the cosmetic
resin, we are able to use
ceramic, tooth colored
partial crowns called onlays.
These onlays are made in 2
visits to the office and are
also a durable, cosmetic
solution.
Endodontics
When
a tooth has decayed into the
nerve or the nerve has
weakened, root canal therapy
may be implemented to save
the tooth. With today's
modern instrumentations and
techniques,
root canal
therapy has become
relatively painless and
quick - most often in one
visit.
Prosthodontics (Dentures
and Partials)
Crowns,
bridges, and dentures can
replace broken or missing
teeth, as well as correct a
bad bite and chew, and
provide our patients with
nice smiles
