Root Canals

Sometimes necessary to be performed by an endodontist a root canal is necessary when the root of the tooth is dying and causing havoc. The nerve in the tooth is removed.

COMMON ENDODONTIC SYMPTOMS:

• Prolonged dental sensitivity to heat or cold
• Tenderness of teeth to touch and chewing
• Facial or oral swelling

Most patients who have had a root canal describe the procedure as virtually painless. A root canal allows the patient to save the tooth rather than having it extracted. A crown can later be placed over the tooth where the root canal was performed. After the restoration the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.

COST
We can effectively treat patients for root canals at a minimal cost than that of going to an endodontist. Depending on the tooth the cost varies.
