Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)
The Academy of General Dentistry is the only professional association committed to exclusively representing the needs of general dentists. The AGD comprises a group of general dentists with a commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.
Its mission is to advance general dentistry and oral health through quality continuing education and advocacy. AGD members receive assistance building their careers and growing their businesses.
Missouri Dental Association (MDA)
The Missouri Dental Association represents a unified organization of individual members committed to the highest quality of care for the public and a resource for advocacy, education, communication, information and fellowship.
The MDA serves as a resource for Missouri dental professionals. It specializes in finding and providing resources for specific situations. If the association is unable to assist, it focuses on connecting the dentist to another member in the community that can.
To be a part of the MDA, a potential member must join the ADA first.
Greater Springfield Dental Society (GRSDS)
The mission of the Greater Springfield Dental Society is to fulfill our community responsibility by serving as the oral health advocate for our 16 county component area.
The GRSDS partners with the MDA and ADA in order to make sure their members have the best technology, and information available to them as they assist the local community.
American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID)
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry is the first professional organization in the world to be dedicated to the advancement of implant dentistry.
Their specialty is in accrediting dentists in implant dentistry. This includes replacement teeth. The accreditation requires a significant investment of time and energy. Dentists that have this credential have a larger, more holistic picture of the oral hygiene path their patients need to be on. They can provide more efficient, and safer care for this reason.
